Chen Huidong

Chen Huidong is a dizi musician with the Kunqu Opera Theatre of the Jiangsu Performing Arts Group, having played the dizi in many operatic excerpt shows. He was lead dizi in Wei Liangfu the Sage of Kunqu; The Mandala Flower, a Kunju adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet; and Chasing Dreams – Tang Xianzu in Nanjin. He won two Silver Awards – Specialism Section, one at the 2nd All China Bamboo Flute Invitational Competition, and the other at the first Jiangsu Bamboo Flute Competition.
