Hong Kong Ling Nan Orchestra

Found by Mr. Lee Chi-hung in 1985, the Orchestra has been dedicated to promote Chinese music. In 1993, the Orchestra was awarded with Merit Prize in the first ‘Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Canton Music Power Cup Invitational Tournament’.

The Orchestra has visited Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Beijing, Taiwan, the Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Peru, Brazil, Panama, Fiji, Greek and so on to give performances, invited national and oversea musicians to give performances in Hong Kong and to exchange experiences, and has received plaudits from national and overseas audiences. Since 2001, the Orchestra has been selected as the ‘Community Cultural Ambassador’ of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department for five times, has consecutively given hundreds times of performances and received rave reviews.
