Pooi To Primary School Choir

Over the years, children’s all-round development has been a mission of Pooi To Primary School sinceits founding in 1888. In addition to excellent academic training, activities that allow children to exploretheir full potential, self-understanding, building self-confidence and the spirit of team-work has beenincorporated in the curriculum. In the heart of the curriculum is the development of the music and artsprogrammes. Since the founding of the school, the school choir has often represented the school and itsvision through hymns and songs. In addition, the school choir has frequently been affirmed by theiroutstanding performance in Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, and often participates in musicals andcompetitions. In March 2022, the song Walk With Hope performed by the senior choir was commended bythe media to be the most beautiful children's voices.

The school choir has participated in many large-scale concerts, and the musical One of the Lucky Ones performed at both Tuen Mun Town Hall and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has receivedextremely high praise. In 2023, the school choir participated in 20 performances in the CommunityCultural Ambassador Programme The Aqua Story. In the same year, the school choir was invited by leadersand influential figures of Hong Kong's cultural and arts sector to perform at the National Day celebratoryreception.
