Tan Ching Zheng Ensemble was founded in 2000 by Chiu Tang-ching, the principal of Tan Ching Zheng Academy. Its aim is to advocate and promote Chinese music to youngsters and to cultivate their interests and knowledge in zheng music and art. The Ensemble has created the best atmosphere for students to learn through fun, to enhance friendship which helped students sharpen their performing skills as well as enrich performing experiences. The Ensemble has currently 30 odd members. With an enthusiasm and passion in music, many of them are top students in zheng music examinations and also best achievers in school music competitions.
