Wang Yucheng

Wang Yucheng began learning traditional Chinese music in 2023, majoring in thesheng under the guidance of Chen Yanru. Throughout his musical journey, he hasactively participated in competitions and performances, steadily demonstrating matureplaying technique and expressive musicianship through extensive stage experience.In recent years, he has achieved outstanding results in numerous competitions. Hewon first place with an Excellence Award in the Sheng Section (Lower PrimaryDivision, General Category) at both the 2024 and 2025 Weiwuying MusicCompetitions, as well as first place with a Special Excellence Award in Group A(Primary School Division) at the 2025 Kaohsiung Preliminary of the National StudentMusic Competition. Furthermore, in 2026, he won third place with an ExcellenceAward in the Group A Primary School Sheng Solo at the National Student MusicCompetition, as well as the Gold Award in Category C at the 2026 InternationalSheng and Reeds Festival – Competition for Professional Sheng Performance.Beyond his competitive achievements, he has participated in the joint concert "YoungMusical Heroes" and the teacher-student concert "Confucian Scholars’ ElegantGathering." Through these collaborative performances, he continues to broaden hisartistic horizons while savoring the inspiration and personal growth that music brings.
