Yin Fei

Yin Fei is a young percussion virtuoso teaching in Central Conservatory of Music in China, a member of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society, winner of the Li Minxiong Special Award, and winner of the ‘King of Drums’ Challenge at the 14th Hong Kong Drum Festival. He was born in Qingdao, Shandong, and between 2003 and 2016, he studied at the middle school affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music, then the Conservatory proper where he pursued his first degree and postgraduate studies. He was trained under the percussion virtuoso Wang Jianhua. Yin has made over a hundred concert appearances, performing as soloist, in ensembles and orchestras, and as accompanist. He is therefore an active and outstanding figure among the young percussionists in China.
